What the work actually is.

BSI does field inspection and field oversight. That means going inside boilers, walking units during outages, and standing with the work while it is being done. It is hands-on, and it happens in the plant.

We look for boiler experience first. Welders, boilermakers, supervisors, QCs, and inspectors who have spent real time around these units. The background matters more than the shape of the resume.

Not everyone at BSI carries a flashlight. DATO analysts work the same outages from the data side, at a workstation on site, reviewing readings as the NDT crews produce them. They check the numbers against history and catch problems while the crew is still there to retest. It takes someone detail-oriented and comfortable with data, held to the same standard as the crew in the unit: the mill acts on what BSI hands it.

Attention to detail matters more here than almost anywhere, because a missed finding costs a mill an outage. The work BSI ships carries the company name, and the mill plans against it.

Professionalism in the field is part of the job, not separate from it. BSI people work in someone else's plant, alongside their crews, representing the mill's interests, and how you carry yourself in that setting matters.

Outages happen where the mills are, so the schedule follows outage seasons and the road comes with the work.
